The Beat Club Sessions shows what Rory Gallagher was really all about a magnificent live performer. Drawn from the best of three different appearances on the German TV series Beat Club , this disc is an audio companion to the highlights of disc 2 of the DVD release of Ghost Blues.

Thanks so much!!!
Thanks buddy, love this one!

Indeed he was. Rory put on some of the best live shows I ever witnessed (and I've seen many of the 'greats'). No million-dollar stages or explosions for him - he accomplished all this with a chequered shirt, a beat-up Strat, tons of talent, passion and enthusiasm and a master's sense of dynamics. Rory's studio albums always seemed tame in comparison. LIVE was his element and he kicked ass! People left his shows exhausted and exhilarated.
Rory is one of the key people responsible for turning me (a 70's hard-rock kid) on to the blues (thank you Rory), my #1 musical passion since the then.
There's been a big hole in the blues spectrum since Rory passed. People like Julian Sas (highly recommended - he's a big Rory fan) can come close stylistically, but Rory was "One in a Million".
Thanks for this, Bandit! I've got a large Rory collection, but did not have this.
BTW, anyone torrenters who want a 33-album @320k Rory discog might just find a fully-seeded torrent from a week ago at Demonoid.
ευχαριστώ, Bandit...
