On Live at J.M. O'Malley's, aspiring through slow blues, funk tunes, and rockers. Janey's no nonsense vocal style is effective, beating fake attitude and strings: his playing has a lot of personality to go along with Buddy Guy and Stevie Ray Vaughan building blocks. Top track: the shuffle "Workin' Fool," which balances B.B. King-esque fretwork with a super organ solo from T-Bone Giblin.
Superb sixth solo disc by this outstanding blues/rock axeslinger from Iowa featuring phenomenal, top-shelf, world-class, soul-powered, retro-70s, bluesy heavy guitar "six string mojo" that truly delivers on all levels of greatness.
