Two incendiary Texas guitarists - Smokin' Joe Kubek and Bnois King, come roaring back with Have Blues, Will Travel, the duo's twelfth album (and second for Alligator Records) over the course of their 20 year career. The album's title is entirely apropos, as Kubek and King chalk up 150-200 nights a year on the road kickin' out their hard-rocking juke-joint blues. Smokin' Joe is a blues-rock guitarist very much in the tradition of Johnny Winter and Stevie Ray Vaughan, while King is a soulful vocalist and a damn fine guitarist in his own right, his elegant rhythm playing exploring a different side of the blues. Together, Kubek and King have enormous chemistry, and Have Blues, Will Travel promises to please fans and win converts.
