Too Slim & The Taildraggers - 2003 - Tales Of Sin And Redemption [320]

Wicked West Coast wildman Tim 'Too Slim' Langford has once again regrouped his Taildraggers for another recording in their long-running career. Full of sass, swagger and sex appeal, this release is one of their most energetic albums to date. It boasts eleven newly penned songs by Too Slim himself, with the added vocal harmonies of Dave Nordstrom. Sin and Redemption is simply blues with heroic guitars and a potent injection of contemporary grooves. The lyrics paint the real life of the blues - the road, the women, the parties and the pain.

A long time fan whose seen the Taildraggers almost 100x, this is their best album (IMHO) - the last with John "Midnight" Cage on the drum kit. Don't pass this one up. And, if you want to hear more of their best work, look for other albums with Cage on drums -King Size Trouble Makers, Blues for Eb and Swamp Opera are outstanding!
